Functional Profiling for people diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum
Many people with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition, ask the question 'Where am I on the Spectrum?' The spectrum is not a linear scale from Mild to Extreme, but each person has different characteristics, strengths and needs. A profile of strengths and needs is created for you as an individual based on the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, including language, sensory and psychological issues. A full psychological formulation pulls together the whole picture of you as whole individual taking your genetic and neurological wiring, into account together with considering your own experiences and learning.

I also use the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System - Third Edition, as an additional profiling tool and to identify future skill development needs. This can help to inform care plan and future goal setting for the individual.
